Coming soon to Greek waters from 1st of September to 10th of September
This summer, Dr. Robert Ballard, Dr. Katherine Croff Bell, and their team will launch an exciting expedition on the E/V Nautilus to explore ancient history and learn more about the ocean. The expedition will start in the Black Sea in July, continue in the Aegean, Mediterranean, and Atlantic in the summer and fall, and finish in November off the coast of Israel. Nautilus expedition scientists will map the sea floor, study underwater volcanoes, investigate unusual life forms, explore shipwrecks, and more.
The Nautilus expedition is special because it will offer you a chance to take part in ocean exploration history. A satellite dish on the ship will transmit live video and other data from the expedition 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Scientists on shore will use the data to take part in the expedition from afar. But you do not have to be a scientist to share the thrill of discovery. You will be able to hear what Dr. Ballard, Dr. Bell, and their team are saying and view what they are seeing in real time on the Nautilus Live website. Read on to find out more about the plan for each part of the expedition. Nobody knows how the plans will turn out or what kinds of discoveries might be made. So be sure to tune in and find out!
